The total export cargo of 16,550 tonnes comprised of 13,900 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7 tonnes of general cargo and 2,643 tonnes of rice. As many as 3,007 containers comprising of 1,446 containers import and 1,561 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday. The break-up of imported containers shows 464 of 20's and 427 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and 64 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 311 of 20's and 255 of 40's loaded containers while 184 of 20's and 278 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were three ships namely Batam Trader, OOCL California and OEL Dobai carrying containers respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were five vessels viz. Cosco Wellington, Northern Power, Hyundai Freedom, Luzon Spirit and Abu Al Abyad carrying containers, oil tanker and rock phosphate respectively currently at the berths.
There were two ships namely Nicolas-A and Priya carrying DAP and oil tanker respectively sailed out to sea on Thursday while four ships namely Cosco Wellington, A Idefix, Hyundai Freedom and Apiradee Naree carrying containers and coal respectively are expected to sail on Friday. There were three vessels viz. Cosco Osaka, Zhong Da You-56 and Chang Hang Huai carrying containers, oil tankers and general cargo due to arrive on Thursday while three vessels viz. Steel Honesty, Serpentine and Delice carrying containers and oil tanker respectively are due to arrive on Friday.
